In week 4, the Los Angeles Rams stayed home and played against the Indianapolis Colts. It was a fierce fighting game that tied up within two minutes in the fourth quarter.
Matthew Stafford hit Chuchu Atwell with an 88-yard pass, but will ultimately be a touchdown in the game. Los Angeles scored 27-20 and improved to 3-1. With their fourth week victory, Rams WR Pukanakua realized they were making history in the NFL. He is the third player to receive 42 receptions throughout the team’s first four games of the season.

In 2023, the Rams chose WR Puka Nacua from BYU using their fifth pick. Director Sean McVay was certain when he drafted NACUA, but he has proven right. During his 2023 rookie season, Naqua made 105 receptions with 1,486 yards and six touchdowns. The 24-year-old quickly became a Los Angeles star and took over WR1. Davanate Adams joined the Rams this offseason. However, Pukanakua is far apart and is Matthew Stafford’s top target.
Through four games in 2025, Pukanakua has 42 receptions with 503 reception yards. His reception and reception yards lead the NFL. Plus, Nacua realized that after Sunday’s victory, he was making history for the NFL. He is the third player to receive 42 receptions throughout the team’s first four games. Pukanakua joins Couppacup (2022) and Michael Thomas (2018).

Two of these three players had Matthew Stafford as QB. Despite his age, the veteran is more than capable of carrying out the Rams offense. Additionally, Puka Nacua increased the history of the NFL in its fourth week. He became the third player with at least eight catches in each of the first four games that began the season. He joined Eric Molds (2002) and TJ Houshmandzadeh (2007).
Against the Colts in Week 4, Pukanakua had 13 receptions on a single touchdown and a career-high 170 reception yards. To begin the 2025 season, Pukanakua is one of the NFL’s WRs, if not at the top.
