Through 6 games in 2025, the Las Vegas Raiders are 2-4. The team won 20-10 against the Tennessee Titans in Week 6. Las Vegas is on the road this Sunday for an AFC West showdown against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.

The Raiders will be without one of their top offensive players against Kansas City. Tight end Brock Bowers is expected to miss his third consecutive game with a knee injury. The Raiders will receive a bye in Week 8. In that case, the young tight end would have four weeks of complete rest and recovery before returning in Week 9.

Brock Bowers expected to miss three consecutive games in Week 7

Raiders tight end Brock Bowers is off to a strong start to the 2025 season. In Week 1, Bowers had five catches for 103 yards, and over the next four games, Bowers totaled 14 catches for 122 yards. It was clear the former All-Pro wasn’t at full strength. Brock Bowers was determined to be on the field in Las Vegas. However, he couldn’t help the team if he couldn’t give his 100%. Las Vegas wanted to protect their star TE.

I can understand why he missed the last two games. The Raiders don’t want to risk a long-term injury and lose Brock Bowers for the season. You can’t easily replace his performance in this offense. Brock Bowers is coming off a great rookie campaign with the Raiders. He had 112 receptions for 1,194 yards and five receiving touchdowns.

This was enough for Bowers to earn Pro Bowl and All-Pro first-team honors. He finished second in AP Rookie of the Year voting behind Washington’s Jaden Daniels. Unfortunately, Bowers won’t have the same results in 2025. The 22-year-old has appeared in four of the Raiders’ six games this season and started one. Brock Bowers is about to miss his third straight game due to a knee injury.

Bowers is suffering a PCL sprain and a bone bruise in his knee. Las Vegas is making the smart decision to have Bowers available in Week 7. The team has a bye in Week 8. It’s an extra week of rest and recovery for the TE. In Week 9, the Raiders will take on the Jaguars. At that time, fans can expect to see Brock Bowers back in action. By then, more than a month will have passed since he last took to the field. Meanwhile, TE Michael Mayer will start in Week 7.
