For decades, Bruce Springsteen has hidden a treasure trove of unreleased songs and has only shared it with close friends.

Currently, The Rock Legend is about to unveil Tracks II: The Lost Albums, a collection of over 70 unreleased tracks recorded between 1983 and 2018. The announcement, made Thursday, promises one of the most anticipated musical events of the year.

Springsteen, 75, described the seven full albums as experiments in “new formats, new genres, new sonic modalities.” The meticulously recorded and mixed, but shelved for years, were archived for “what I felt I was losing, or they didn’t feel completely.” The pandemic allowed him to revisit the safe, finishing up what he called the “small collection of full albums” that dispels rumors of the “lost era” of the 1990s. “I was working the whole time,” he reportedly said.
