The Secretary of State, one of the agencies, said it “spurred massive movements around the world, including invasions of southern borders.”

Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced plans on Tuesday to significantly restructure the State Department to reduce “decades of bloat.”

“In its current form, the (state) sector is bloated and bureaucratic and unable to carry out its essential diplomatic envoy in this new era of massive competition,” Rubio said in a statement. “In the last 15 years, the sector’s footprint has seen unprecedented growth and costs surge…but we don’t see the return on investment.”
The organization’s chart shows Rubio’s plans on how to rebuild agents and eliminate some departments.
Rubio has released a longer, separate mail to Subsack, electing private security, human rights and democratic secretaries who oversee democracy, human rights, labor, population, refugees, immigration, and more.
Its umbrella group, sometimes called the “J Family,” will be placed under a new coordinator of foreign aid and humanitarian issues, Rubio said.

“The Democracy, Human Rights and Labour Bureau has repeatedly revenge against the “anti-wake” leaders of states such as Poland, Hungary and Brazil, and has become a platform for left-wing activists to promote to revenge, turning Israeli hatred into concrete policies such as the invitation to arms,” the statement said.

The Department of Population, Refugees and Migration “spewing millions of taxpayer dollars to international organizations and NGOs that promoted large-scale migration around the world, including invasions of southern borders.”

Rubio also provided the U.S. International Development Agency, or USAID, with the latest updates and said work carried out by the Office of Government Efficiency (DOGE), run by Elon Musk, would effectively restore Doge’s work by assigning USAID duties to the aforementioned office within the Department of State.

Earlier this year, the Trump administration closed USAID headquarters, fired most of its staff and moved to replace its director. A lawsuit has been filed against the administration, but last month the appeals court ruled that Doge could continue to scale back the institution.

More broadly, across the State Department, he said, “redundant offices will also be removed, and undefined programs that have been misaligned as America’s core national interests will no longer exist.” “All non-security foreign aid will be integrated in regional offices accused of implementing US foreign policy in certain geographical areas.”

Rubio also provided another example of what he said. The former Global Engagement Centre, which closed last week, “had worked with media outlets and platforms to censor speeches it opposed, including the US president,” Rubio added that the agency also tried to avoid efforts to close Congressional efforts.

Rubio reposted another excerpt from a free press article shared by editor Bari Weiss on Tuesday, providing details of the plan. Some said 132 offices within the sector will be closed, including those designed to counter extremism and promote “overseas democracy.”

The State Department’s executive director has been instructed to provide plans within 30 days on how to cut staffing within the department by 15%, a post approved by Rubio said.

The Epoch Times contacted the State Department on Tuesday for comments.
