The San Sebastian Film Festival (September 19-27) has added nine titles to its official selection, including the world premiere. Joachim Lafos’s Six days of spring Juliet Binoche’s directorial debut In-I moves.
Six days of spring One of seven new competitive titles and stars Eyed Haidara rents her ex-in-law home in the French Riviera as a desperate woman spending several days off with her children. Lafos was previously in San Sebastian, competing in Venice in 2006 for private property, with the White Knights (2015) and Silence (2023).
Other world premieres of the competition include Olmo Omerz The existence of ungratefulnessabout his recently divorced father, going on a camping trip with his two teenagers. Xiaoyu Qin’s debut fiction feature Her heart beats in that cagefollowing a woman who reunited with her son after spending ten years in prison for killing her husband.
Binoche’s directorial debut In-I moves It’s a documentary, performing from the competition in-i, A hybrid dance and theatre show produced by the actress in 2007 with dancer and choreographer Akram Khan.
Another one out of the competition is Sakamoto Junji. Climb for lifeIt tells the story of Japanese Junk Tabeye, the first woman to reach the top of Mount Everest.
Other competition additions are Toronto Premier Little Player Ballad Director Edward Berger, Claire Dennis’ Fence and James Vanderbilt Nurembergand Amazon MGM’s international premiere Beren From Dolores Fonji.
