Kosara Mitic’s teen drama 17 It is one of 11 features participating in the ongoing strands of Cinelink Industry Days (August 16-21), the Sarajevo Film Festival’s industry platform.
Director Macedonia’s Mitick’s debut feature follows a 17-year-old girl who gets pregnant after a classmate and a threesome. And attempts to hide her pregnancy become more difficult during her graduation field trip.

The film is a December co-production of Serbian Art & Popcorn and Slovenia, and is being produced by Tomi Salkovski for Black Cat Productions in North Macedonia.
The Sarajevo selection includes eight fiction features and three documentary or hybrid titles.
One of the latter groups is the documentary fiction hybrid of Yassine Marco Marroccu Alquebranabout a journey to save sacred talismans from shipwrecks on the Saharan coastline, in the turbulent flows that are turbulent independence in Africa. Andrea Taschler produces for a Hungarian Mirage film studio with Moroccan eclipse films.
This selection also includes Israeli-German co-productions. Where?tragedy about a Palestinian Uber driver in Berlin and a young Israel who gets lost in a city.
The film will compete for a prize of 120,000 euros, including a new 30,000 euro cash HBO award, offering completed funds and a guaranteed broadcast window. And the new 30,000 euro physical AvanPost Media Award. The Return Awards include the Cinelink Impact Award from Think-Film Impact Production, and are also open to the Docu Rough Cut Boutique project.
The project will be presented to industry experts, including funders, sales agents, distributors, broadcasters and festival programmers.
The Sarajevo Film Festival will be held from August 15th to 22nd.
