In the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft, the Seahawks drafted WR DK Metcalf from Ole Miss. The 27-year-old played six seasons in Seattle. Metcalf has played 97 games and has started his career in 93. He never finished the season with under 900 yards in his professional career. The two-time Pro Bowler was a consistent playmaker in Seattle. His best season received 83 catches and 10 touchdowns in 2020 for 1,303 yards.
After six seasons with the Seahawks, WR DK Metcalf requested a deal from Seattle. Dianna Russini reports that several teams have asked about Metcalf. The Chargers pursued Metcalf’s last offseason, but they had no luck. New England, Buffalo and Green Bay are expected to be interested in former Seahawks WR.
When the team trades with DK Metcalf this offseason, they do it in the hopes of signing him in the long term. WR wants an extension as a salary of $30 million a year. At 27, Metcalf is at the height of his career, with some teams hoping to add him to their roster. Metcalf has 438 catches, 6,324 yards and 48 touchdowns since joining the league in 2019.
