Seattle traded Pro Bowl WR D.K. Metcalf to the Steelers for a second-round pick

Last week and half, the Seattle Seahawks lost three important offenses. They released veteran WR Tyler Rockett and traded QB Genosmith for the Raiders.

On Sunday evening, Seattle traded the WR DK Metcalf for the Steelers in exchange for a two-round pick. Upon arriving in Pittsburgh, Metcalf received a five-year, $150 million deal. Offensively large addition for the Steelers in 2025.

DK Metcalf is Pittsburgh’s latest WR after Sunday’s deal

Seattle used a second round pick in 2019 to draft WR DK Metcalf from Ole Miss. He played six seasons for Seattle, 27. Play in 97 games and create a 93 start. Metcalf had at least 900 yards for all six seasons with the Seahawks. His most productive year was the 2020 campaign, where he finished with 83 catches for 1,303 yards and 10 touchdowns. Since entering the league in 2019, MetClaf has 438 catches, 6,324 yards and 48 touchdowns.

The Seahawks traded DK Metcalf for the Steelers. Pittsburgh is still deciding who would like to re-sign at QB. With the arrival of DK Metcalf, Russell Wilson looks like a front runner. Wilson and Metcalf spent three seasons in Seattle. Two of the three most productive seasons of DK in the NFL appeared as QB along with Wilson. The NFL Free Agency legal negotiation period begins Monday at noon.
