Senate Passes $187 Billion ‘Minibus’ Funding Package

On August 1, the US Senate passed a so-called “minibus” spending package, funding the government next year and approved a slate of unpiloted spending items.

The funding bill includes a budget of approximately $187 billion for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of Agriculture, Food and Drug Administration (FDA), legislative branch operations, military construction and rural development.
