A crash on a vintage plane in 2016 killed the pilot during a flyover. The most famous event remains the “Miracle of Hudson” of 2009. It’s when Captain Chesley, “Sally” Sullenberger, safely landed the plane after a bird strike, saving 155 people. Another helicopter crashed at Washington’s Reagan Airport in January this year.
