The Sony Pictures Motion Picture Group has announced the executive changes after group president Josh Greenstein was expected to move to Paramount.
Sanford Panic, who has led the division with Greenstein since 2019, will become the sole president of the Motion Picture Group.
Stephen Odell, head of Daniel Mischer, Head of Theater Marketing and President of International Marketing and Distribution, continued to oversee the group’s marketing business and reported to the group’s CEO and Chairman Tom Rothman, where Nicholas Weiss and Dave Fulkbomb have been promoted to co-head of global creation and strategy.
Meanwhile, Peter Kang was promoted to Columbia Pictures’ production president, overseeing the label’s production and development tactics, and Andrea Giannetti was promoted to the label’s executive vice president, production and senior creative.
Kang and Giannetti continue to report to Panitch.
Rothman said: “I’m sorry to see Josh go. He has been a great colleague for many years and we wish him the best. The key to a healthy organization is to have it. Our marketing group has it. Daniel and Stephen are sure our marketing capabilities will grow. An expansion of his capabilities.
