Exclusive: Curzon picked up Carmen Emi Plain Cross From the UK to the UK ahead of the UK premiere at SXSW London.

The Sundance World premiere will be the feature debut of New York filmmaker Emimi, starring Tom Bryce and Russell Toubey.

Set in Syracuse in the 1990s, he follows a promising undercover agent assigned to seduce and arrest gay men who refuse professional orders when they become obsessed with their target. As their relationship develops, he is forced to confront the intolerance of the police and his own family.

The film won the dramatic special juj award winner for the ensemble cast at Sundance. It is produced by Colby Court, Arthur Landon, Eric Podwall and Vanessa Pantry for Lawton Entertainment in the UK and LA-based Page1 Entertainment.
