The suspect in the case of a young man killed inside a mosque in southern France was deported from Italy on Friday.

The suspect – called Olivier A by French media – is a French citizen born in 2004.

According to media reports, he was transferred to court from Florence, Nimes, southern France city.

Once he arrives, he is expected to go before the magistrate leads the investigation and presents his version of the event.

He reportedly faces the possibility of “murders that have been exacerbated by plans and committee circumstances due to race and religion” and “avoiding a search or arrest.”

Before handing over himself to Italian authorities – the suspect spent three days on the run for the murder of a 22-year-old Marian man named Abubakar Sisse.

Cisse was attacked and stabbed dozens of times while praying at a mosque in the former mining town of Lagrandcome in southern France.

Olivier A. – Someone who lives in the area and has not been reported to have a criminal history – filmed the murder and posted it on Snapchat.

Cisse’s murder has sparked heated debate in France in recent weeks as government officials faced criticism that they had not initially treated the incident as a hate crime or showed concern over other deadly attacks.
