Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced on June 17 that he was investigating 33 potential non-citizens who were accused of in the 2024 election.
The investigation follows an introduction from Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson after the state accessed a systematic alien verification (SAVE) database for qualifications for U.S. citizenship and immigration services. President Donald Trump signed an executive order earlier this year to direct the Department of Homeland Security to provide free access to databases to all states.
