100 Lines – Last Defense Academy – There was no shortage of praise and was chosen for praise by the director of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Unfortunately, developer Towyo Games is at risk of going down unless the 100 line makes enough profits to wipe out debt.
In Takeyo’s game, having an RPG game that is the Hundrem Line -Last Defense Academy recommended by the director of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 must have been a strange moment.
On the one hand, it was a recommendation from fellow developers, while on the other hand, Claire’s Unclearity: Expedition 33 was one of two games, dominating Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, 100 Line launch week.
Kazutaka Kodaka, founder of Takeyo Games, now known as the creator of the Danganronpa series, has revealed that the studio is on the verge of closure. Kodaka responded to questions about porting 100 lines to other platforms,
“If I can pay off my debts early and have enough operating funds for the company, I’d like to start right away. But now we’re still on the brink of going down.”
Like the original Danganronpa, The Hundrement Line features a quirky collection of students trapped in a strange academy. However, this time, instead of engaging in a clastic trial, you will need to dodge the monsters surrounding the building.
Blending visual novels and RPG elements is now rated very positive for steam. It also hits over 10,000 simultaneous players, which is not a small achievement. But it had to compete with both double whammy of Claire’s obscurity: Expedition 33 and The Elder Scroll IV: Remastered of Forget. The latter release was “shadowdrop” and there was no way to plan it.
“We don’t plan to port 100 lines to other platforms. The possibility is very slim,” Kodaka later added, saying he would like to update the Steam and Switch versions, and added multilingual support.
His first post was greeted by a message of support, but it remains to be seen whether Takeyo’s game is well-made from 100 lines – Last Defense Academy.
