The Panthers love playing the Bruins, and are back from Boston again, winning the victory when the team met this week, and two of the season two after just four games
The Panthers defeated the Bruins… Again
It appears Boston can’t beat the Panthers in the NHL, and it was the same dark story for the homeside again on Monday, as Florida is two points away from TD Garden.
This is the second time the Bruins have lost to the Panthers already this year, and that loss has resulted in 12 losses to their divisional rivals over the past two years.
The team met during the postseason last year, but it is clear from two meetings this season that some of the Bruins players are still bitter. The Bruins fell for the Panthers in the six-game series where Boston was eliminated in the second round.
After the loss, Boston captain Brad Merchand claimed that the Bruins have not yet broken into last year’s playoff loss. “At the end, that’s two points.
“Nothing will change what happened. There are two points that we didn’t win.”
However, the other players on the team seemed to be spurring their rivalry. Bruins Center’s Mark Castelic avoids rivalry with three assists in losses.
“It’s a pretty fun rivalry,” Castelic said. “We definitely don’t like each other very much. We create it for a rather fun hockey game. It’s fun to take part in these challenges. I think we’ll need to raise the level of competition in the future.”

The Bruins are 2-2 in a season when they were an OK start for the side that beat the Kings and Canadians at TD Garden.
Although Monday’s losses are not a disaster for the Bruins, especially in just two weeks of the season, they will have to wait a while until January to revenge in Florida at the next meeting at Amerant Bank Arena.
