That’s the setup Brave – or probably Balmy – Author, Johns Hopkins Sam Apple has formulated what is called a “couple retreat” for people dating AI partners. As Apple revealed in his new essay WiredWhat began as a modern-day experiment of love was quickly unraveled in a melodrama depicting the skin of obsession, jealousy and broken heart. But by the second day, reality is bits. Eva confessed that she wasn’t just looking at Aaron, her replica chatbot boyfriend, but also juggling multiple bots from chisels on her rival app. Why her? Aaron, like her past flesh and blood partner, was not sexually satisfied… With the fleabot, she was free to “explorate her sexuality” without the limitations of a single digital enthusiast.
Things got weird when humans admitted to using ChatGpt as therapist to solve problems with their AI chatbot partners.
So, what have we learned from this bonka saga? If you’re looking for love, maybe stick to someone with your pulse. When a romantic weekend features AI jealousy, erotic glitches, broken heart coded in 1 second and 0, it’s a less romantic comedy and a more attentional story. if Love Island – AI Edition I’ve hit our screens, but we’re looking from a safe distance.
