‘There’s Still Tomorrow’ director Paola Cortellesi to chair Rome Film Fest jury

There’s still tomorrow Director Paola Cortelesi will chair the ju apprentice of the Progressive Cinema Competition, the competition section of the Rome Film Festival, which will be held from October 15th to 26th.

Actress and screenwriter and director Cortelesi returns to the festival following the success of There’s still tomorrowIt was released in Rome in 2023.

The film, which marked her debut as a director, won the Rome Special Jue Award, Audience Award and Best First Feature Award, making it one of the biggest box office gross in Italian cinema history, winning nearly 37 million euros.

Recent ju apprentices in Rome include Marjan Satrapi, Gael Garcia Bernal and Pablo Trapello.

Cortelesi said: “It’s a festival that has built a strong and persuasive identity over the years, and has become the reference point for Italian and international cinema, and I’m bound by a deep appreciation.”

Roman artistic director Paola Maranga said: “Paola Cortelesi is an artist with great sensitivity and exceptional talent. I am confident that her attentive, profound and innovative perspective constitutes a great assurance for every film that will take part in our 20th edition.”
