In the wake of Maine’s proposed law to protect women, the biological male Paul Vaulter was absent, with the male runners finishing 11th.

Maine was expected to join the Blue State’s growth list, which has been identified as a transgender competitor in the 2025 high school outdoor athletics final, but that didn’t happen on Tuesday.

Katie Spencer, a sophomore at Greeley High School, was the top seeded in a season-high 11-foot jump this month, but Miles Plit, who provides official results to the school, reported that he was not involved.
