Transportation Secretary Urges Governors to Remove Political Messages From Crosswalks, Intersections

Transport Secretary Sean Duffy urged all 50 governors, the mayor of Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico on July 1 to remove political messages from intersections and crosswalks.

“The roads are for safety, not a political message or artwork,” Duffy said in a statement. “Today, I am asking governors of every state to ensure that roads, intersections and crosswalks are not distracted.”
