U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on November 5 that he is “very optimistic” following the Supreme Court hearing on the legality of President Donald Trump’s global tariffs.

In an appearance on Fox Business Network’s “Kudlow,” Bessent objected to President Trump’s use of a 1977 law to defend the tariffs, saying he believed the plaintiffs were “almost humiliated.”
