Exclusive: Rome-based sales company True Colors has embarked on a psychological drama A short event (A short love story), the directorial debut of leading Italian screenwriter Ludovica Rampoldi.
Lampoldi is known for his films like Marco Belotio The traitor and Gabriere Salvaress Invisible boy, Same goes for TV series including Bellochio’s Exterior NightAmazon’s The bad guyand the sky Gomora – Series and 1992/1993/1994 Trilogy.
The story follows Lee, who meets Rocco at a bar and becomes his lover. Their secret events, locked in a hotel room, make an ominous turn when Lee begins to permeate Rocco’s life. Their secret encounter.
A short event The film stars Pilar Fogliati, Adriano Giannini, Andrea Carpenzano and Valeria Golino, who lead the title of Mario Martone’s Cannes competition.
The film is currently in post-production. The real colour Pre-sale has begun at Cannes and is showing the promotion to buyers.
“For years, I’ve written for other directors and I’ve always found a deep, creative fulfillment,” Lampoldi said. “But this story about twisted relationships, betrayal, purity and obsessions made me feel the need to direct myself. I wanted to combine thriller with irony, drama with romantic comedy, and work with an extraordinary generous cast and a truly remarkable crew.”
A short event Indigo Film and HT Film are collaborating with Rai Cinema. The seven-week filming took place in Rome and Naples. The film is written and directed by Rampoldi, filmed by Gogòbianchi, production design by Francesca Calvelli and Massimiliano Nocente, costume design by Stefano Ciammitti, music by Fabio Massimo Capogrosso, and music by Gianluca Scarlata.
