Several media outlets reported that President Donald Trump was considering pardoning for Sean “Diddy” Combs.
But Trump spoke about Combs in an interview on the friendly Newsmax environment on Friday night. He said that pardoning for hip-hop millionaires is difficult due to past criticisms of him.
“I think he was essentially half indifferent. I don’t know what they’re doing. He’s still in prison or something,” Trump told Newsmax host Rob Finnerty. “He was celebrating his victory, but I don’t think his victory was that good.”
“Don’t really give f&ck about Trump.”
Trump is likely referring to Combs when he complicates complex issues for himself by telling the Daily Beast in 2017 that he “hasn’t given him any fuck about Trump.” And in 2020, when Trump’s first presidency ended with his defeat to Joe Biden, Combs, a black man, told radio host Charlalamagne Toh God that “we need to expel white men like Trump.”
“Shawn “Diddy” Combs. Do you think you’re forgive him? ” Newsmax’s Rob Finnerty asked the president. Trump did not respond directly, but the negative comments Comb made about him said it would “make it even more difficult.”
In an interview, Trump said, “Maybe…” before revealing to Finnati, “I was very friendly with him, I got along with him and looked like a nice guy. I didn’t know him very well. The Newsmax host then said, “He said something less subtle about you.”
“He’s made some terrible statements.”
“Yeah, that’s difficult. You know, like you, we are human and we don’t want to cloud our judgment, right?” Trump said. “But when you know someone, you’re fine, then you run to the office and he makes some terrible statements… so I don’t know…it’s going to be even more difficult.”
On July 2, the ju judges discovered that Combs was the most serious charge of assault and sex trafficking, and that he had not committed the crime of ex-girlfriend Cassandra “Cathy” Ventura Fine and a woman known as “Jane” in his sweeping trial that lasted for almost two months.
Prosecutors have accused women of forcing them to attend drug-fueled sex parties known as freak-offs, which sometimes last for several days.
Combs is convicted of two low charges of transport to engage in prostitution and is sentenced immediately. He could face up to 10 years in prison, and is usually offered in the US in half the time.
“Trump shouldn’t allow Diddy.”
Trump first mentioned the possibility of baring a comb in an oval office on May 30th. “No one asked,” the president said about the pardon. “But I know people are thinking about it. I know they’re thinking about it. I think some people were very close to asking,” Trump added, “I haven’t spoken to him in years. He really liked me a lot.”
A day ago, conservative host Megin Kelly urged Trump from a comb that could potentially be pardoned. In a July 30th post, Kelly said, “Trump shouldn’t forgive Diddy.”
“He’s a Trump hater. He’s a female abuser. Maga is upset with the elite who already seems to be covering each other. This doesn’t help.
