President Donald Trump once again raised the subject of Canada becoming the 51st state in the United States, ensuring they are considering the offer.

The Golden Dome is Trump’s ambitious program that he says is to protect the United States from China and Russia. He also said it will be fully operational by 2029. It consists of up to 1,000 satellites with missile launch capabilities to protect the country from projectiles involving foreign countries of all kinds. The president told Canada, “If they become our precious 51st state, we’ll spend zero dollars. They’re considering the offer!”
No response from Canada yet
Canada has not responded to his claims, but earlier this month, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney told Trump at the White House:
Recent polls say that around 80% of Canadians are “strongly opposed” to becoming a US state, meaning 20% will have an advantage.
Trump really needs Canada
Apparently, it’s Trump who needs Canada more than he needs to achieve his Golden Dome dream.
