President Donald Trump announced Friday that he will grant a full pardon to former Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández, who was convicted by a jury and is serving a 45-year sentence for drug trafficking and firearms convictions.
“I am extending a full and complete pardon to former President Juan Orlando Hernandez, who, according to many people I respect, has been treated very harshly and unjustly,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social on Friday.
