On October 5, President Donald Trump said the mixed martial arts event for next year’s proposed Ultimate Combat Championship (UFC) will take place on June 14th as part of a broader celebration commemorating the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

While gathering at a naval base in Norfolk, Virginia, addressing members of the service to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the US Navy, the president emphasized the importance of the next year and the events that marked the birth of the country.
