The US Secret Service has dismantled a network of electronic equipment located throughout the New York Restate area that was used to implement an anonymous threat to senior U.S. government officials, the agency said in a September 23rd statement.
The device has been found to concentrate within 35 miles of the ongoing UN General Assembly World Conference in New York City, with an assortment of SIM servers from more than 300 residential complexes and 100,000 SIM cards spread across multiple sites.
World leaders, including US President Donald Trump, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Ukrainian President Voldimir Zelensky, are expected to speak at the event.
