WASHINGTON – House speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) and Republican leaders are in a hurry to turn it over as President Donald Trump’s one big beautiful bill act stands on the unstable ground of his home.
As of 11:30pm ET, votes to proceed with the procedural measures known as rules votes were open for almost two hours, between 207 and 217 votes. Five Republicans joined all Democrats and voted against moving forward on the bill.
