UK actor and comedian Russell Brand charged with rape and sexual assault

British actor, presenter and comedian Russell Brand has been charged with rape, obscene assault and sexual assault.

The charges by metropolitan police are linked to four different women. The alleged cases took place in London and Bournemouth between 1999 and 2005.

The brand must appear in Westminster Magistrate’s court on May 2nd.
