As its 42nd member, Ukraine joined the European Audiovisual Observatory, part of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg.

Ukraine will be represented by the Executive Council, the governing body of the observation deck by the National Council of Television and Radio Broadcasting in Ukraine.

Ola Herassim, chairman of Ukraine’s National Television Council and Radio Broadcasting, will represent Ukraine at the Executive Council.

The Strasbourg-based observatory is a European information clearing house on the film, television and streaming industries, providing data and legal analysis.

Ukraine membership means that European audiovisual observatories can include facts and figures about Ukraine in their reports and databases, giving greater visibility to the country and its audiovisual sector.

“We’ve seen a lot of effort and we’ve seen you,” said Susan Nikoltouche, executive director of the station. “The new membership in Ukraine means that we can integrate European countries, which already have a rich audiovisual culture, especially in the field of television and film production, in all aspects of our work.”
