US Judge Plans to Block Hundreds of Trump Admin Layoffs

U.S. District Judge Susan Illston said in a court hearing that she would block the State Department and the Department of Education from cutting about 250 and 150 jobs, respectively.

The decision comes after a lawsuit filed in October by labor unions challenging the Trump administration’s federal workforce reduction plan.
