US Lawmaker Proposes Airline Sanctions to Pressure Beijing on Rare Earths

Rep. John Mourenard (R-Mich.) called on President Donald Trump to suspend China’s rights to land commercial airlines and block access to US aircraft unless Beijing puts an end to rare earth and magnet curbs.

Mourenar, chairman of the Chinese Communist Party’s selection committee, wrote to Trump in a letter dated September 18th.
