Vue Lumière adds two titles to UK-Ireland distribution slate

Exclusive: VueLumière replenishes UK and Ireland distribution slate with the acquisition of Nadia Fall’s bride and IDO Fulk’s Cologne 75.

Distributor releases bride September and Cologne 75 The second half of autumn. Bankside Films handle international sales with both titles.

bride Debut feature for 2023 screen UK – Ireland’s Star of Tomorrownadia is in autumn and premiered in this year’s World Film Drama Competition at Sundance.

Written by Suhayla El-Bushra, bride Produced by Nikki Bentham for a British neon film with Marika Stokki for Italian Rosamont. Set in 2014, it follows two teenage girls who make dangerous plans to travel to Syria and flee from troubled lives in a British seaside town. Ebada Hassan and Safiyya Ingar lead the cast.

The film was developed in BFI and supported by BFI and FFILM Cymru Wales. Additional supporters include the Welsh government, including Creative Wales, Great Point Media, the Minority Co-Production Fund of the Italian Ministry of Culture, the Friuli Venezia Julia Audiovisual Regional Fund, and Leicinema.

Light View has also acquired the Berlinale 2025 Special Gala Cologne 75which continued to make historic dramas about the concerts of jazz musician Keith Jarrett, which rarely happened, and jazz history.

Sol Bondy and Fred Bahl from one German film produced the film. The film stars Mara Emde along with John Magalo, Michael Cernus and Ulrich Tucourt.

Extreme Emotions, Lemming Film Belgium & Ala Mode Film Producion, Film is supported by the Film and Media Foundation NRW, Eurimage, Medienboard Berlin Brandenburg, FFF Bavaria, DFFF, Polish Film Institute, Utz Film Fund, BNP Paris Basforps Film Film Finance and Screen Flanders. Executive producers include Mizzel Media and Gretchenfilm.

“Both films use real events combined with incredibly inspiring writing, but each has a unique directorial vision. They tell the unique stories in a way that they think will be with the audience for a long time.”

“The distribution situation is constantly evolving and this feels like a very exciting move,” said a statement from Bondy and Burle, who is partnering with Vue Lumière, which was launched later last year. “Vue knows their audience. It’s great to know that their new distribution sector will bring our films to so many screens in the UK and Ireland.”

The title will be participating in Vue Lumière Slate, including Dylan Southern Something with feathers.
