Exclusive: UK Seller West End has won Max Pugh’s global rights Interbeingthe first official documentary biography of Tic Nat Han, the legendary Vietnamese Zen master and peace activist known as the father of the mindfulness meditation movement.
Benedict Cumberbatch tells the documentary of the Paris Climate Agreement architect in testimony from Oscar-winning filmmaker Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu and Costa Rican diplomat Christiana Fijueles.
The film took major photos in September 2025 and will be filmed in the US, Vietnam, France and Africa.
UK speech producers Eve Schclone and Nick Francis are acting as executive producers by Mark J. Francis. Marc Benioff, Chade-Meng Tan, Paul and Annie Mahon have co-acquired the project.
France-UK filmmaker Pugh previously collaborated with Westend Films On Please walk with meIt premiered at SXSW in 2017 and was co-founded by Nhat Hanh in pursuit of the Buddhist Village Monastery of Plum in southern France.
Nhat Hanh passed away in 2022.
