The Senate was postponed on August 2 to begin a month-long summer break after the Senator and the White House failed to reach an agreement to confirm President Donald Trump’s candidate.

Senate Majority Leaders John Tune (Rs.D.) and Trump have negotiated with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (DN.Y.) on how to move forward with more than 150 pending nominations that have been slowed through the Senate by Democrats.
