Top White House officials on August 3 said they need to fire the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) Head Erica Mantelfer following the release of the expected employment report late last week.

US trade representative Jamieson Greer told CBS News on the morning of August 3 that the president had “real concerns” about BLS data, but Kevin Hassett, head of the National Economic Council, told Fox News that President Donald Trump “has the right to call a new leader.”
